Our Story

Bites & Bevvies was established in 1995 when Logan and Kayla Silver decided to quit their stress-ridden corporate jobs and open a restaurant pub which is situated along the Gibsons marina front on the majestic Sunshine Coast. As the name implies, their idea was for a fun and casual atmosphere for lunch and dinner or just a drink with friends, family, or coworkers while sitting inside or on the patio. The building includes two floors of spacious accessible seating, designed with load bearing brick walls and wood finished tables, chairs, and bar area for a rustic classic feel. Fun fact! The building, built in 1918, was the site of a tavern but became a speakeasy during Temperance in the 1920s and operated as a gift shop during the day. Then between 1930 and 1990, the building was repurposed as the old community hall for Gibsons residents.

Whether it is a special occasion like a birthday, first date, or Paddy’s Day there is a great selection of appetizers, mains, and desserts for bites and bevvies to quench every thirst (See what we did there?), please check out the menu to see what tickles your fancy. Happy Hour is 3:30pm – 5:30pm daily.

You can watch your favourite sports team play on one of our several big screen televisions set up, engage in a friendly game of pool or foosball, or step up to the mic and belt out your favourite power ballad on karaoke night.
